Flat water (available nearly 365 days per year) unguided trips on Otter Creek and upstream of Lock 10 on the Kentucky River:
Hourly: $10 canoe, $7 kayak
3 Hours $ 25 canoe, $18 kayak
All day: $50 canoe, 35 kayak
Muddy Creek to Otter Creek: approximately 10 miles of water starting on the Muddy Creek, traveling downstream on the Kentucky, and ending up on Otter Creek. This includes one mile of light white water when water levels are up. This trip can be done in three hours, but consider it a day trip if you aren't training for an Adventure Race. $60
Whitewater trips are available based on water level, and therefore fairly short notice. This happens most in the fall, winter, and spring, and can consist of trips in excess of 7 miles of FUN.
One-way trips are also available. Please call or email us to set up a custom trip.
A deposit is required for rental. Credit Card only please (Visa, MC, Amex).
RESERVATION POLICY:
It is highly recommended to make reservations since we have a limited number
of boats available. Reservations require 100% deposit for weekends and 50%
deposit during the week, which can be made by credit card or by mailing a
check. If you need to cancel a float trip or reduce the number of boats, call
us 7 days prior to trip date and 100% of deposit will be refunded; however,
if you cancel within those 7 days no refunds will be made.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
RAIN OR SHINE We operate rain or shine!! NO REFUNDS! Rain right before your
trip usually improves canoeing on small streams. If weather conditions are
extreme or water levels too high, we issue a rain check. We cannot make refunds.
Cloudy skies or a chance of rain are insufficient grounds for canceling your
trip. All responsible persons will be required to sign a waiver of acknowledging
the risks and responsibilities in participating in a river trip (i.e. canoeing,
rafting, kayaking, and swimming) in a natural setting. If legal guardians
are not accompanying a minor, you will need to request a waiver to be either
mailed or faxed to you, or it is available on our web site, for you to complete
before the float trip. Watching a 7 minute safety video is required before
each trip.
IT’S A GREAT DAY FOR FLOATING!!!!
What to bring?!?!?! Plan on getting wet! Bring a towel and change of clothes for after your trip. You should wear a T-shirt, shorts or a bathing suit with sneakers or river shoes. On cold days bring wool socks, sweater and cap. We provide paddling jackets at no extra charge.
Group discounts: Group discounts are available for groups with 5 canoes or
more, prepaid deposit with one check, and waivers filled out ahead of time.
If your group has the above completed, you will receive a 10% discount 7 days
a week.
